Workers’ Compensation Claim torn rotator cuff

A warehouse worker was injured on the job.  He suffered a torn rotator cuff.  He underwent surgery to repair his shoulder.  The claim was initially denied by the workers’ compensation insurance carrier because they claim that our client never reported it to the employer.  We filed a claim with the Department of Industrial Accidents and obtained a successful Conference Order. After the impartial medical exam and prior to a Hearing, we were able to settle the claim by way of lump sum settlement.
