The time it takes to settle a claim depends on many circumstances. You must let your injuries heal and reach a maximum medical improvement before beginning settlement negotiations. If you settle your claim too early, you may miss out on compensation for future medical treatment, scarring, or rehab difficulties. Once the treating physician issues a final medical report stating the diagnoses of the injuries and their opinion as to the prognosis, the evaluation of the case for settlement can begin. At that time, we will submit all the medical records and bills along with a demand for compensation to the insurance company.  Insurance companies typically take between 30 and 60 days to evaluate the demand and begin negotiating a settlement. More complex cases, however, may take longer.  It all depends on the issues of each case.
